Privacy policy
Last updated 2 October 2026
PanchaPath is a personal-development programme with optional one-to-one coaching. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, who can see it, and the choices you have. It is written to meet India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
1. Who we are
PanchaPath is operated by Lavakumar Mudduluru, sole proprietor, trading as PanchaPath, Egattur, Chennai 600130, Tamil Nadu, India (“we”, “us”). We decide how your personal data is used. Contact us at hello@panchapath.com.
2. What we collect
- Account details — name, email address, phone number if you give it, and your password (stored only as a one-way hash).
- Programme data — what you log in each pillar: habit check-ins and notes, your 1–5 “Did it help?” ratings, strengths results you enter, personality results, practice logs, and messages with your coach.
- Coaching records — sessions your coach logs (date, length, and whether it was held, missed or cancelled), and the ratings and comments you give about your coach.
- Concerns — anything you report through “Raise a concern”. If you choose to send it without your name, we store no link to your account.
- Plan and billing — your plan, billing cycle and, once payments begin, invoices. Card or UPI details are handled by our payment provider; we never see or store them.
- Coach applicants — the details, credentials and references you submit when applying to coach.
- Security records — sign-in times, one-time codes and an audit log of sensitive actions, kept to protect your account.
We don’t use advertising trackers, and we don’t sell or rent your data to anyone.
3. Why we use it
- To run your account and the programme you signed up for.
- To match you with a coach, if your plan includes one, and let them support you.
- To send you service emails — sign-in codes, confirmations, password resets and messages about your account.
- To keep coaching quality high: your ratings, session records and any concerns help us review coaches and act when standards slip.
- To keep the service secure and prevent misuse.
- To meet legal obligations, such as keeping tax records.
We rely on the consent you give when you set up your account. You can withdraw it at any time (see section 7); doing so means we can no longer provide the programme to you.
4. Who can see your data
- Your coach — only for the pillars they are assigned to you for. A coach assigned to Habits cannot see your Strengths or Personality entries. When an assignment ends, their access to new entries ends with it. Your coach sees the comments you give about them without your name or the exact date, and an average rating only once three or more people have rated them. Your coach never sees concerns you raise.
- Our operations team — can see account and matching information to run the service, and are the only people who can read concerns and the coach quality review. Every time they open a concern it is logged. They do not read your programme entries or coach messages except when you ask us to, or where the law requires it.
- Service providers who host and deliver PanchaPath on our behalf, under contracts that limit them to that purpose: Vercel (hosting), Neon (database), Resend (email) and Cloudflare (domain and email routing).
5. Where it is stored
Your data is stored with our providers in data centres that may be outside India, including Singapore, Japan and the United States. It is encrypted in transit and at rest.
6. How long we keep it
- While your account is open, we keep your data so the programme works.
- If you delete your account, it is deactivated at once and permanently erased 30 days later — you can cancel within that window by signing in.
- Invoices are kept for eight years and coaching session notes for three years after deletion, where the law requires. These are used for compliance only.
- Coach applications that are not accepted are deleted after twelve months.
7. Your rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you and who we have shared it with;
- correct or complete data that is wrong;
- erase your data, or delete your account;
- withdraw your consent;
- nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf if you are unable to.
Email hello@panchapath.com from the address on your account. We will respond within 30 days.
8. Complaints
Our grievance officer is Lavakumar Mudduluru, reachable at hello@panchapath.com. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India. To report a problem with your coach, use Raise a concern.
9. Age
PanchaPath is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
10. Changes
If we change this policy in a way that affects you, we will email you before the change takes effect. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
